Officer
Leaders among leaders
Officers in the Marine Corps are confident, determined decision-makers who have earned the respect of others. They lead by example, accomplish the mission and take care of the Marines in their charge.
You must have college coursework toward a Bachelor’s degree underway or completed before applying for the officer commissioning programs. Those still in college will become part of the Platoon Leaders Class, and those who have a college degree will
complete the Officer Candidate Course.
Additionally, you can become an officer through the NROTC program at your college or university.
