Cooperative exercises and training

Across the Pacific, the Marine Corps builds international partnerships and runs cooperative training exercises. Operations in this region focus on deterring aggression, increasing cooperation and developing crisis response plans. 
 
Thailand: Marine Fighter Attack Squadrons and other units train during Exercise Cope Tiger, an annual aviation field training exercise with the U.S. Air Force, Royal Thai Air Force and Republic of Singapore Air Force.  
 
Philippines: Each year, Marines conduct training and civic action exercises, humanitarian assistance and community service projects with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. 
 
Australia: Marines join U.S., U.K., Canadian and Australian forces to exchange intelligence scenarios and plan for threats in the Pacific Region.  
 
Mongolia: The Marine Corps conducts multiple exercises in partnership with Mongolian Armed Forces, which include Enlisted Leadership Exchange, global peace support initiatives, Marine Corps Martial Arts Training and civic assistance projects. 
 
South Korea: The U.S. assists the Republic of Korea in preparing against attack through programs which provide strategic and operational planning as well as live-fire and mountain warfare training.
