Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle

Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles increase protection and mobility of Marines operating in a hazardous fire area.  
 
• Protective construction includes blast-resistant underbodies, 
V-shaped hulls, raised chassis and armor  
• Supports operations in urban environments and other 
confined spaces 
• Assists mounted patrols, reconnaissance, communications and command and control 
• Reconfigures to support multi-mission operations, such as convoy lead, troop transport, explosive ordnance disposal, ambulance and combat engineering 
• Provides mine and IED clearance operations
