M249 SAW

The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon is a machine gun used in combat to engage enemy targets.  
 
• Air-cooled, gas-operated machine gun 
• Takes 30-round M16 magazines or belts of 5.56x45mm 
NATO-standard ammunition 
• Engages point targets out to 800m and area targets out to 1000m 
• Built-in bipod and separate tripod-mount for supported fire 
• Quick-change barrel that helps prevent overheating 
during sustained fire 
• Can be used as a vehicle-mounted weapon
