Marines present the 2014 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl
The Marine Corps has always been associated with top physical conditioning, leadership, strength of character and a tradition of winning. Every Marine is required to possess a sound mind and body to be a part of the elite ranks.
In many ways, the Marine Corps is similar to a winning sports team. The camaraderie, selflessness, and level of dedication that exists within the Marine Corps are reflected in the values of a championship team.
Combining these traditions of winning, the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is an intense post-season competition comprised of 90 of the nation's most highly recruited high school football players. This bowl game represents both an opportunity for high school athletes to showcase their talent as well as an opportunity for the Marine Corps to demonstrate how their traditions of honor, courage and commitment translate on the field.
Back for its third year, the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is set to take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA, January 5, 2014. Featuring the nation's most elite up-and-coming football players, as well as nationally recognized Head Coaches, Joey McGuire from Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, TX, and Christopher Merritt from Christopher Columbus Catholic High School in Miami, FL, the event is free to attend and will air live on FOX Sports 1, 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST.
