When Victory
is the Only Option

When met with adversity, every Marine overpowers challenges with the perseverance to win battles.

For more than 241 Years, Marines have fought and won our nation’s battles on air, land and sea. Marines are committed to facing down any threat with the determination and fighting spirit to succeed.

"We are part of something bigger than any of us could imagine," said General Robert B. Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps. "Whether you fought in the battles of World War I, in the Pacific during World War II, in Korea or Vietnam, in Desert Shield or Desert Storm, or in the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan—or you are just starting your Marine Corps journey—we are all part of an elite family of warriors."

The Marine Corps could not be our nation’s force in readiness without Marines who are at all times focused, alert and in control. From the first moments of Marine Corps Recruit Training or Officer Candidates School, our Marines are imbued with the training, judgment and character our nation can count on.

Just as our Marines are committed to our country and our Corps, the Marine Corps is committed to developing Marines who are best prepared to face down and defeat any and all opposing forces before them.

"We are Marines for life," said Gen Neller. "It's our responsibility, our duty, to maintain and build upon the legacy of those who have gone before us.”
