MARINE GROUND COMBAT ROLES

Combat Infantry is at the heart of what Marines do. With a primary goal of seizing and controlling terrain, the job of Marine Corps Infantry Marines is to close on and defeat enemy combatants. As a Combat Infantry Marine, you’ll operate as part of a fire team, and hand-to-hand combat will be your specialty.

Marine Ground Combat MOSs include:

• Marine Sniper
• M1A1 Abrams Tank Crew Marine
• Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) Operator
• Mortar Marine
• Infantry Assault Marine

MARINE AVIATION COMBAT ROLES

The Marine Corps has its own air force, which is among the largest and most capable in the world. We equip, maintain and fly many different aircraft, including fixed wing fighters like the FA-18 and the F-35, fully-weaponized Cobra attack helicopters and the innovative Osprey tilt-rotor troop carrier. The primary mission of the Marine Corps air element is to provide close-air combat support for our advancing infantry and to keep us moving forward.

Enlisted Marine Aviation MOSs include:

• Aircraft Maintenance Marine
• Helicopter Mechanic
• Aviation Ordnance Technician
• Aviation Supply Specialist
• Air Traffic Controller

Marine Officer Aviation jobs include flying and piloting our aircrafts.

The Marine Corps creates success by acting as a single, cohesive force across all battlefronts. Every military aircraft engineer deployed is specifically trained and equipped to serve the mission in the form of offensive air support, assault support, antiair warfare, electronic warfare, control of aircraft and missiles and aerial reconnaissance.
